Alpha 1460XT

The Alpha 1460XT has a swing over bed of 460mm, impressive swing in gap of 730mm and a 1500mm distance between centres. With its powerful 11kW main spindle motor, it’s a highly popular and well-respected engineering industry favourite.

Standard features of the Alpha 1460XT include Gamet ABEC 9 super high-precision taper roller bearings for industry-leading machining accuracy in a wide range of turning applications.

It also offers operators a strong line-up of optional equipment, including a choice between a manual Parat 40-position hand indexing 4-station tool-post with quick-change tool-holder facility, or a automatic bi-directional, multi-station VDI 30 turret mounted on the front of the cross slide.

The high specification Alpha 1460XT combines these extensive standard and optional machine accessories with its advanced Fanuc control and software systems to achieve faster set-up and finished component turning times than its competitors.

No other lathes on the market today, including full CNC machines, can compete with Colchester-Harrison’s Alpha X Series for speed of production when it comes to ‘one offs’ and small-batch turned parts.
