Tornado T8MS

With the same specification as the Tornado T8M, the Tornado T8MS has a second sub-spindle with a max. spindle speed of 6000rpm, a powerful 7.5kW spindle motor, max. turning diameter of 300mm, and 42mm spindle bore capacity.

The Tornado T8MS extends the machining capability of the T8M to full five-axis turning thanks to its powerful second, sub-spindle.

The powerful second spindle makes ‘single-hit’ machining a reality, while the Colchester-Harrison ‘Duo-Stable’ construction makes all advanced Tornado machines superbly designed for hard turning.

The Tornado T8MS has a main spindle motor power of 22kW and a sub-spindle motor of 7.5kW, both with full C-axis and disc brake. The well-proven Sauter Star-type turret is standard equipment, for easy access to both spindles.

Controlled by GE Fanuc's new 18i TB multi-axis CNC system, with full G-code programming plus new-generation conversational programming (Manual Guide i,) - it enables complex shapes to be produced from a graphical user interface.

For maximum productivity, ‘chuck’, integrated MBF1000 barfeeder and ‘Lights-Out’ unmanned machining packages are available.
